Emergency & Same-Day Dentistry

Same-day care for toothache, broken teeth, swelling, and other dental emergencies.

Dental pain does not wait for a convenient time — and neither should your care. If you have a toothache, a broken or knocked-out tooth, a lost filling or crown, or swelling in your gum or face, call us. We keep room in the schedule every day for urgent and same-day appointments.

Our first priority in an emergency is getting you out of pain and stabilising the problem. Then we explain clearly what happened, what your options are, and what each will cost — so you can make a calm decision once the urgency has passed. Swelling that is spreading, or pain with a fever, should be seen quickly, so please call right away.

Frequently asked questions

What counts as a dental emergency?

Severe toothache, a broken or knocked-out tooth, a lost filling or crown, bleeding that will not stop, or swelling in the gum or face. When in doubt, call — we will help you judge how urgently you need to be seen.

I knocked out a tooth — what should I do?

Handle it by the crown, not the root, gently rinse it, and if you can, place it back in the socket or keep it in milk. Then call us immediately — a knocked-out tooth has the best chance when it is treated within an hour.

Can I be seen the same day?

In most cases, yes. We hold time each day for emergencies. Call (416) 807-8800, describe what is happening, and we will get you in as soon as possible.
