Dental Fillings
Tooth-coloured fillings that treat cavities early and blend in naturally.
A filling repairs a tooth damaged by decay — and the sooner a cavity is filled, the simpler and smaller the repair. We use tooth-coloured composite fillings that bond directly to the tooth and blend in so well that no one will know they are there.
The appointment is straightforward and, with modern anaesthetic, comfortable: we gently remove the decay, clean the area, and shape the filling to match your bite. Most fillings are completed in a single visit. If a cavity has gone deeper, we will talk you through whether a filling is still the right fix or whether the tooth needs more support.
Frequently asked questions
Do fillings hurt?
The treated area is fully numbed, so you should not feel pain during the appointment. Mild sensitivity for a day or two afterward is normal and settles on its own.
How long do tooth-coloured fillings last?
With good care, composite fillings typically last around seven to ten years, often longer. We check them at every visit and replace one before it fails.
How do I know if I need a filling?
Often you will not feel an early cavity at all — which is exactly why regular checkups matter. We catch decay on examination and with x-rays while the repair is still small.
