Dentistry on Gloucester

About

Dentistry on Gloucester is an independent dental practice on Yonge Street, a short walk from Wellesley station in the heart of the Church-Wellesley Village. Dr. Ahferom Gebremedhin opened the practice in 2023 with one aim that still guides everything we do: to be the kind of dental office people don't put off going to.

In practice, that means a few specific things. We book enough time for each appointment so nothing feels rushed. We explain what we see in plain language, and we show you, so a recommendation is never just “trust us.” And we treat everyone the same way — with patience and without a lecture — whether your last cleaning was six months or six years ago.

Care for the whole neighbourhood

Our patients are as varied as the Village itself: students, long-time residents, people new to Canada, and downtown professionals fitting an appointment around a workday. We are an LGBTQ2SAI+-affirming practice, every day of the year, and our team provides care in English and Farsi. We welcome patients under the Canadian Dental Care Plan and the Interim Federal Health Program, because access to a dentist shouldn't depend on who you are or what you can afford.

Dr. Ahferom Gebremedhin, dentist at Dentistry on Gloucester

Dr. Ahferom Gebremedhin — Dentist

Dr. Gebremedhin earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery at the Carol Davila University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Bucharest and has practised dentistry in Toronto since 2017. He founded Dentistry on Gloucester in 2023. Much of his clinical work is full-mouth rehabilitation — rebuilding comfort, function, and confidence for people who have lived with dental problems for years. Patients tend to describe him the same way: gentle, careful, and genuinely easy to talk to.
